Mount Steel

Olympic Lookouts
Located near First Divide, Mt. Steel has a domineering view of the North Fork Skokomish and Duckabush drainages. The location would cover the missed ground between the Constance and Lincoln lookouts. Given the effort to take the pictures in 1936, they must have really been considering this site. No official or even unofficial trail (that I know) go to the summit. This was 2 years prior to National Park, when it was called Mt. Olympus National Monument.
