The iconic Cape Horn viewpoint can be accessed by an easy trail from the top. The alternative is a 6 mile loop trail that climbs up from the bottom, down near the river. This easier route is the tourist walk, but with limited parking, there are not many signs pointing to the way. Find the parking area at the end of Skunk Road.

The six mile loop is open seasonally from July 16 to January 31. From February to July 15, part of the trail is closed for peregrine falcon nesting. Hikers will need to do an out-and-back instead of a loop when the closure is in effect.
