Centennial Trail
The first 5 miles of the North Idaho Centennial Trail go from the Washington/Idaho line to downtown Post Falls. This section crosses the Spokane River, travels through some park like settings, passes historic sites, and usually keeps a bit of distance from the freeway. About midway at the Pleasant View Road crossing the trail passes next to a gas station where you can grab snacks.
