Robert W. Sawyer Park - City of Bend

Sawyer Park at the north end of town offers traditional park features like picnicking and grassy areas but because of its location, offers fun rock features, the Deschutes River access, a bridge and trails for both easy strolls or longer hikes. The longer trail on the other side of the bridge is the Deschutes River Trail that will take you to other destinations like the First Street Rapids Park, Sawyer Uplands Park, River Glenn Natural Area, and Archie Briggs Natural Area. The trail is open to walkers, joggers and mountain bikers. Sawyer Park and trails are shaded by pine and juniper trees which makes it a popular wildlife area, especially for birding.
