The Chasm - Milford Sound Highway

The Chasm Track is a short walk (20 minutes) for tourists on their way to or from Milford Sound. It is a good time filler if you are arriving too soon for your cruise, as it is not too far from the sound. This walk is about halfway between Milford Sound and the Homer Tunnel. The track goes to a bridge right above a powerful waterfall cutting through water-sculpted rock. The parking area is well signed and has many spaces for cars and busses.
