Washington State Parks

Lake Easton State Park features recreation at Lake Easton Reservoir. There is a boat ramp for boaters and fisherman or a dock and beach for swimmers and sunbathers. Picnicking is popular since it is right off the freeway. Of course, other camp activities are around like 6.5 miles of hiking trail, a kids playground, an amphitheater, horseshoe pits, mountain biking and a basketball court. In winter, the snow-park activities are snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and sometimes dog sledding. From December to March, five miles of ski trail are groomed. Since the park is adjacent to the National Forest, there is good wildlife viewing in places. In fall, the reservoir is far down and the area below water line is usually quite muddy. On the south side of the lake is Iron Horse State Park, the old railroad grade converted to trail that runs from North Bend to the Columbia River near Vantage.
