Day Three:
This was my wimpout day, I was a bit overwhelmed with the idea of doing a route that was so uncertain. Three people went a low route, the remaining went the high route. Both routes started by traversing boulders west of Lake Valhalla. This proved difficult for some as the boulders were gigantic at times. Once past the boulders, 5 members climbed up a class 2 route to get Drinnon Peak. Meanwhile, 3 of us dropped down to the lakes below Valhalla Lake to take a valley route to Gwillim Lakes. Unfortunately, we hit more house size boulders which slowed us down quite a bit. The valley had brush but we pushed through and eventually reached the Gwillim Lakes Trail, just as the trail starts its last climb up to Gwillim Lakes. The rest of the group was able to summit Drinnon, return back down to the packs, find a route up and over a high pass and down to Drinnon Lake where they met the Gwillim Lakes Trail. We all met up at the lakes that evening.
