Abercrombie Mountain
This was the only 5,000 foot prominent peak left in Washington for me to climb. To see the 57 Ultra-prominence peaks in the US, click here:

The Ultra 57 is my new goal and I needed to nab this one incase I were to leave Washington.

I was going to camp at the trailhead for an early morning hike but due to bugs, I decided to tough it out and carry Maverick and our camping gear to the summit ridge. After a mile of trail and 30 excuses to turn around, I got comfortable with the extream weight on my back and started enjoying the hike.
Mav played in the meadow while I set up the tent,
From camp, it was 20 minutes or so up to the top.
Snowballs or white rocks?
Views to the west, summited just before sunset.
The last few feet.
For Maverick, there's nothin better than a bunch of rocks!
Sittin on top of summit carin.
Mav was trying to use my trekking poles in camp.
Our sunset.
