Washington Climbing

I’ll go out on a limb here and say something that’s bound to give me some hate mail. Washington has the best mountain climbing in the lower 48 states. This is assuming the weather is nice, something you can never count on.
The fact that Washington holds the world record for snowfall is reason enough. No other state can compare to the glaciated routes on so many mountains, and I’m not talking about the volcanoes. From navigation to technical ability, climbers who climb in Washington State need the greatest variety of skills to summit its peaks.
